European Bartender School

Who doesn't love a good cocktail? Sometimes, I like to think cocktails are more of a girl's best friend than diamonds

When the European Bartender School based in London invited me to their first ever blogger event I was definitely intrigued. I could just imagine myself shaking those cocktails to perfection and flipping stuff around my head like a pro
I could not have been more wrong. Read on to find out more...

Suckerpunch Bar

St Albans
A new cocktail bar has opened up within St Albans and as soon as I saw it being advertised on my Facebook timeline, I knew I had to go. St Albans has plenty of pubs, but does lack on the cocktail bar scene. There is something nicer about a cocktail bar, especially themed ones

Central London has some lovely cocktail bars, but sometimes they are just too much of a trek and a cost for me
This is where I now welcome all you Hertfordshire/St Albans peeps to Sucker Punch

Buddy Box

As you may have read within a previous post of mine about mindfulness, I suffer from anxiety and depression, and it has been especially bad this year with all of the tragedies I have had to deal with

The Blurt Foundation got in contact with me because somebody lovely out there in the world wanted to gift a random person with a Buddy Box, and keep themselves anonymous, and the Blurt Foundation chose me to be the recipient of such a beautiful gesture

Stand4Socks

I am all about helping out in life where I can. Whether it be with donating to charities, or paying it forward and making somebody's day, or buying food for the homeless when I can

Stand 4 Socks are a company that share the same ethics! Every pair of socks you buy, goes to helping a social cause within the world. I can help the world AND keep my feet warm and colourful at the same time. Not to mention everybody needs socks within their wardrobe/drawers

Popkakery: Edible Cards!

I don't really do Christmas cards. I don't tend to send them or like to receive them as I like to save the trees
I can totally make an exception when it is something as sweet, tasty and cute as this though
This is Popkakery's fantastic "Pop A Card". A completely edible version of a card that you can still send in the post to whomever you want to send one too

JustMyLook Secret Santa

Secret Santa
I do love a good Secret Santa. I love buying for someone within a budget and seeing what I can get for them, as well as receiving from somebody totally anon
It's always hard to decide whether you will go down the novelty route in terms of gift, or the cute and quirky, to the practical choice of gift

This year, I was invited to take part in a Secret Santa organised by Just My Look with a budget of £20 to spend on the beauty blogger I was assigned

The Spirit of Christmas

Cocktails
Ladies and Gintlemen, I wish you a Merry Ginmas! HAHAHA I am so punny sometimes

I wanted to bring you some christmassy cocktails to make yourselves at home, but using my favourite tipple at the moment which is GINIn case you hadn't noticed from the puns in the first line
You can use any gin you may have for these cocktails, but I will be using Brockmans gin which is a nice, smooth and citrussy gin. These are perfect for Christmas Eve around a fire, Christmas Day with family and guests, or Boxing Day when you just want to relax after the busy festivities

Luxury Dinner Party with Nectar

Eating out can be costly! Especially when there is a group of 6 of you and you go for a full 3 course meal
Nectar Card recently gave me the challenge of hosting a luxury dinner party for 6 people (I ended up hosting for 7. Oops. I didn't count myself as a guest) for the sum of £120, or the equivalent of 24,000 Nectar points

Nectar Points can be spent at Sainsbury's, Homebase, Argos, Laithwaite's, Ebay etc. So I had a whole host of places I could purchase from for this project

I have never once had a facial, so when I was given the opportunity by ProSkin Clinics to receive a complimentary facial peel or acne treatment I straight away said "acne treatment" please! I suffer terribly from cystic acne and small breakouts, redness and scarring but have never considered anything but oral medication before

I am now a facial convert, I really am

Farfetch Secret Santa

Farfetch

I was invited along to Farfetch's Christmas Lights tour event for Bloggers. This would have been a 2 hour ride on a vintage open top bus to check out all of London's christmas lights in the hotspots around the city

Unfortunately for me, the date ended up being changed and I could no longer attend :(, but Farfetch still sent me out my Secret Santa gift which was an element to the event. How lucky am I?!

Cut Out Beauty

I have some new portfolio work to show off! Once again the images have been taken by me and the model is Emilia with the MUA being Faye Marriott

I don't like to retouch pictures, so all of these are unedited and unretouched. Emilia just has flawless skin. You can tell they are unretouched by the fact the hair is untidy in some shots. I like this though. It adds character and it is a human trait after all to have fly aways

Cooking with CHOPCHOP

Dinner Party
CHOPCHOP is a new app launching tomorrow designed to make cooking so much easier. It uses AI technology to help you plan and prep any amount of courses simultaneously

Now, I am not going to lie, I love food but I have no idea how to cook. This event with CHOPCHOP intrigued me though because I am just so not savvy with cooking and food
The app is best optimised for iPad, but will also work with iPhone. I had to download the Beta test version for this dinner party, so the version you can download will be much better! And the app was already amazing

The Time of Advent

The Body ShopHolidays are coming, holidays are coming! It's nearly Christmas! Which of course means it is advent time and the countdown to the big day itself

I have always had 2 advent calendars since I can remember. My mother likes to buy us one chocolate one from the high street/supermarkets, and make one up for me and my sisters herself

This year, she doesn't need to do that though because the Body Shop lasses gifted me the most amazing advent calendar

Shopping with Spring

Fall Fashion
I am off to NYC next year and I simply can not wait! I also get a lot of blog views within the US of A. Well howdy there!

I recently heard about an interesting app/website named "Spring", they are a mass marketplace for 800+ brands so you can shop with ease in one simple place. Please note, the app is only available within the USA. But you can still access the website here. After looking at the website I put together my own layered creation since Fall can be such a tricky season to style. My perfect look for Fall is pictured in my collage above ^

Life Update

This post is terribly hard to write and awfully personal. Much like a previous post I wrote this year about losing my Grandfather and how to deal with a loss
I guess you could say I am dealing with another loss again except this one, at this moment in time, seems much harder because I could still bump into that person, I can still see them on social media, I can still send them a text and attempt to talk to them

I spent 2 years of my life with this person. 2 years and 13 days to be precise. I invested time and love into this person as well as making future plans
What makes this harder to write is the fact I know he sometimes read my blog. This is why I am unsure I'll even hit publish (Hello to you reading if it does actually go live!)

Italy Photo Diary

San GimignanoI recently visited Italy, mainly for a wedding, but also as a mini holiday with my boyfriend and his family

We stayed in a hotel outside of a small town named San Gimignano and the wedding was held somewhere in Tuscany. I don't actually know where! The ceremony was held in a town hall and then we had a 40 minute drive to a castle on the mountainside where the reception was held. It was like something out of a fairytale movie and I don't think any wedding can ever compete!

Date Night: The Sky Garden

The Sky Garden is a place that I have seen many a blogger go to, as well as anyone who knows the cool spots within London
The pictures I have always seen of it made me constantly think "oh dammit, I really need to go". Especially as it is actually free! You just need to book some free tickets before you actually go

Me and Jordan celebrated our 2 year anniversary this month, on the 26th August. But we were actually at a wedding in Italy on that date so obviously we couldn't really celebrate ourselves, so on the weekend we could celebrate I booked for us to go to Alice's Adventures Underground and then an evening trip to the Sky Garden where I treated us to Prosecco

(By the way, the Sky Garden sells a £2,985 bottle of Champagne. If anyone wants to take me again to experience that Champagne, HOLLA!)
