30 Things before 30

- All images in this post have been taken by me backstage at LFW. Apart from the one above obv -

I turned 25 this year, which means in the year 2020 I will turn 30. I have 5 years left to complete this list I have curated of things I want to do before I turn 30
Some of it may be unachievable, but you never know until you try. At least my ideas, dreams and thoughts are written down so I can do nothing but try to achieve them now
Here we go, in no particular order:

1. Photograph Paris Fashion Week
I managed to start photographing London Fashion Week at the age of 21. I am now 25 and am yet to go to another fashion week, especially as Paris is just a Eurostar ride away!

2. Go to New York City
This is being achieved in Feb 2016! Tick!

3. Move out of the Parents house and into my own place

4. Save more money away
This goes hand in hand with number 3. I need to spend less and save more

5. Own a classic quilted Chanel handbag
Only have approx £2,500 to save for the Medium sized one. It can be achieved by 30 surely?!
Backstage at LFW6. Get Married
Soz, but I am one of those girls that actually wants to be married by the time I turn 30

7. Road trip across the USA
I want to do that cliche and typical road trip down Route 66 in America. I want to explore the USA as much as possible

8. Travel to far away places
This is mainly because I want to go to Japan and Bali. But I want to experience cultures and places that are further away than Europe

9. Get fitter and lose weight
When at school I was a size 8. Since being in a long term relationship I have now gone up to a size 10/12. I fluctuate between the 2. I just want to get fitter, improve my stamina and tone up. If I make it a habit now, it will be part of my life by the time I turn 30

10. Become an expert in Yoga
I currently go to a yoga class once a week. It probably isn't enough, especially as I don't practice at home I don't know why. I'd love to be able to know what a pose is without looking at the teacher, and gain my flexibility back

11. Blow off a lot of steam, and money, in Las Vegas

12. Travel somewhere alone
So, I have done business trips abroad where I fly out there alone but end up with people all day until I go home. Whenever I go on holiday I am with other people. Maybe it is time to experience a mini holiday alone

13. Experience a festival abroad
I said I wouldn't go to any festivals this year. I went to two....
Between now and 30 would be the best time to experience one abroad. Coachella, Hellfest etc

14. Hunt for, and see, the Northern Lights
I went to Iceland in January and went on Northern Lights tours. Did I see them? Nope!

15. Take up ballet again
I always wanted to do ballet as a kid. I was never allowed. I took it up as an adult and then knee issues meant I had to stop. I have yet to take it back up even though I have found somewhere to take classes again
Backstage at LFW16. Spend more weekends away
I end up spending the weekend in bed with my OH watching Netflix. The weekend is the perfect time for us to try and explore new things and new places!

17. Do a Fun Run, or a Race for Life
This one helps with my idea of getting fitter. Maybe I should make it a thing to do at least one charity run before I turn 30

18. Use Air BnB

19. Get over my fear of dogs. Maybe even own a dog

20. Learn more French than "Salut", "Bonjour" et "Bon Nuit"

21. Grow my hair really long, before deciding short hair suits me best and cutting it all off for charity

22. Wear extensions whilst I grow my hair really long
because honestly, does anyone know anyone over 30 who wears extensions??

23. Disconnect as much as possible. No phone, no internet, no electronic distractions. Just good people, good company, a good book

24. Go to the Superbowl!
I am a massive UK female fan of the NFL, which is American Football. I would LOVE to be able to go to the Superbowl one day and experience it first hand rather than have Superbowl parties that go on until 5am on a Monday morning

25. Know what foods are good for me and what aren't and eat a lot healthier
I am currently trying to achieve this anyway, so I have plenty of time to learn what is really good for me and what isn't as well as healthy meal ideas. I have already cut out fizzy drinks
Backstage at LFW26. Get some more tattoos
I currently have 9 pieces. Most in places that are easily hidden

27. Grow my blog even more
It is currently small and fairly new, but it has already brought me new opportunities

28. Say 'yes' to a lot more opportunities that come my way

29. Learn to wake up earlier and seize the day
Whether it be to make my day more productive, or make time to actually hit the gym

And Finally...

30. Be Happy!

  1. What a fab list! Unfortunately I only have just over two years before I turn 30 so my list would indeed be a lot shorter. I look forward to reading about your adventures with your list!

  2. This is a great idea and list. I turned 30 last year so I may have to do a 40 before 40 list :)

    1. If you do do that, good luck. It took me a while to think of 30 things so 40 may be a bit harder x
