I have never attempted a sheet mask before but I have seen that they are all the rage at the moment, and to me they seem less messy than a face mask from a tube. Less mess is always a good idea
I recently tried out the 'Deep Sea Extract Moisturising Mask' from Timeless Truth as I felt like my skin needed an extra boost. It has become rather lacklustre since a family tragedy this month
Here's what I thought about it
As you can see from the image above, this mask is meant to leave the skin luminous and glowing which is exactly what I need right now
To apply, you take the mask out of the packet and unfold it. These masks are just full of serum and the good thing is you can squeeze some of the excess back into the packet and re-use it another day. I also stuck my packet in the fridge for a little while so that when I took the mask out and applied, it would be slightly chilled and refreshing which would also be a delight within the heat we have recently been having
Once you have taken the mask out of the packet and unfolded it, there is simply a white piece you remove from one side of the mask and then apply to your face putting the chin on first. Essentially, with this mask the darker side of the mask is the one that rests on your face
And now for the sheet selfie.....
So yep... that's what I look like with a sheet mask on. It has made me realise what a small face I have, but they are definitely easier to apply than a clay mask
I left it on for 30 minutes, I then took the mask off and rubbed in the excess serum that was on my face and then patted myself dry and to remove any excess
My face definitely felt more refreshed during and after the mask, and for the rest of the evening and my face felt more alive and very smooth. As if it has just been injected with life. Even any redness that was on my face was reduced! I wasn't expecting that but what an added bonus. I certainly feel like my skin looked more radiant after using and not like I had been neglecting my skin for the last month, which is what I have totally been doing
That 30 minutes of looking really scary af was totally worth it
Have you ever used a sheet mask? What skin problems would you want a sheet mask to help with?
