Getting Fit with SportsShoes.com

It's a New Year now, so time for a new me? Well, I am not so sure about the 'New Me' aspect. I like me. But certainly time to improve me!

SportsShoes.com have given me the task of going for a trail run and a treadmill run every week during January. That is 2 runs in a week. The only running I have ever really done is to the door when the pizza delivery man arrives *oops*

To help me on this new adventure, because it IS an adventure, they allowed me to pick whatever I needed to help me out up to the value of £120! Thank you guys!

I shopped within the Sale section to get more for my buck as I have absolutely nothing to wear if I am going to attempt running outside within the woodlands around my house

And so I picked up a Hilly handheld water bottle, some Nike running shoes, headband to keep my fringe out of my house, a Nike armband to hold my phone in place for some entertainment, Nike leggings and a Nike Dri-Fit running tee. I also picked up a Puma running jacket, sports bra and a couple more running tees. I am definitely all kitted out now so I have no excuse not to get on board with this
I have to keep a diary every week to show how I feel before and after each run, so I have decided to also do a weekly running diary on my blog also, and then a final one at the end of January to see how I feel and if I will be keeping it up throughout the year. This should also hopefully keep me motivated so that I see this assignment through to the end

Wish me luck! I think I will need it

Do you currently run? Any fitness tips for me?

  1. I run quite a bit in the gym and try to do as many outdoor runs as I can but they're both completely different. When you're running on the treadmill have it on a slight incline because it emulates the outdoor a bit more. When outside make sure you use an app to track your distance/ speed etc so you know how you're improving. Good luck! x
