Going Barefaced with Magnitone

I am a member of The Bloggers Hangout and they held a Christmas twitter chat where brands took part and were gifting bloggers. I was one of the lucky ones who got gifted a Magnitone barefaced cleansing brush! Eeeek!

I suffer terribly from acne, breakouts and cystic acne so I am always on the hunt for something that will improve my skin and make me feel confident when I am actually barefaced

The brush came beautifully packaged in some tissue paper within a larger box. I love when brands make the extra effort and it was definitely a delight to open. The paper even matched the fact I had a pink brush gifted to me

The box itself lists everything you need to know about the brush. The fact it has timers, interchangeable brush heads (which you don't actually get with the brush itself it seems), it is completely waterproof, even a little travel bag. This is the bit that excited me the most when I opened it all up. I wasn't expecting it
The charger is magnetic and plugs into a USB slot. Really simple and easy to charge and it charged really quickly before my first use

They claim the brush is friendly to all skin types, and I can believe that as the bristles are so so soft. I could sit there and stroke it like you would a cat. I'm not going to because that would be weird, but it is amazingly soft

After charging it up, I decided to use it for the first time in the bath. Because it claims it is fully waterproof after all and I was all ready for a mass pamper evening with bath bombs and gin

I used it with 'Estee Lauder's Perfectly Clear' foaming face wash. Foaming face washes are deemed best to use with these brushes. I put the face wash on the brush and then I put the brush on my face and turned it on. You don't need to scrub. Just gently move the brush in circles on one section of your face. When you hear a beep, move it on to the next section of your face. The brush will turn off completely after one minute

Above is my very own #buzzface. Afetr using the brush I noticed a new glow to my skin that I had never seen before, and my skin felt oh so soft. This morning it looked clearer (apart from the areas of my face that have acne scarring) and still felt amazingly soft. The vibrations of the brush are meant to clean the pores deep down as well as tone the skin and I definitely did notice a difference after the first use

If that is what it feels like after one use, I can't wait to use it every day and see what effect it has on my skin in the long term!

You can find out a bit more about the Magnitone Barefaced on their website
Do you have a skincare regime? Would you use one of these brushes?

  1. I've seen so many bloggers with these, they are so intriguing! I have really dry skin but get blackheads, I'll have to read more about them
