Manfrotto have recently released something new, and they enrolled me and other Manfrotto ambassadors to tweet about it on the day of launch and use it on our shoots and our day to day life
Just a quick sidenote, the Manfrotto ambassador status is due to my freelance photography career!
Say hello to Manfrotto's TwistGrip! A MUST for any of you avid smartphone photographers, bloggers and/or vloggers
The Manfrotto TwistGrip, is just that. It is a grip for your smartphone, that twists! It starts out as this silver bar in the image above, and you twist the ends to then make the U clamp shape
One end has a tripod screw thread. In my images, you can see I have paired it with a Manfrotto Pixi tripod. A really cute, small, tabletop tripod that you can stash away in a bag for any of those blogger brunches you may go too
It doesn't just go on the Pixi tripod. It will go on to any tripod you may already own. It makes it perfect for vlogging and video, live streaming, or even selfies
If you do want to use it for selfies, my fave bit about the TwistGrip is it then has a hot shoe cut-out on the opposite end to the tripod screw thread to add on Manfrotto's range of Lumimuse LEDs
These little LEDs are my favourite and I often talk about them A LOT for Manfrotto (I also shot part of the ad campaign for them when these lights came out). They are perfect for selfies if you have rubbish light because they are daylight balanced. You can even add filters and coloured gels on to the LEDs to get a little creative with your selfies if you so wish
The LEDs are also perfect for video, so again, great for vlogging. But also video in general if things are a bit too dark and you need some extra light. You can have the light face whichever way you want it too. Obviously mine was facing me in the image above so I could take some good selfies
They pack a punch for something so small too! People are always impressed with them when I show them off. A lot of my blog pics are taken with the use of the Lumimuse LEDs actually
Once finished with the TwistGrip, just twist the ends back into a straight bar and it will fit comfortably into any pocket
You can find the TwistGrip in Apple stores, as well as Manfrotto's website
Do you use your smartphone a lot for blogging or photography? Would this be handy for you?
